Guidelines for Participation in HotOS-VI

One of the key features of HotOS is its interactive nature, in which every attendee is an active participant. Creating an appropriate atmosphere for interaction necessarily limits the size of the workshop. The number of participants at HotOS-VI will be limited to 60, with registration guaranteed for primary authors of position papers, program committee members, and conference organizers. The remaining seats will be allocated by the conference organizers using the following guidelines:
  1. Priority will be given to authors of position papers who are not primary authors but have made a comparable contribution. We are especially interested in encouraging students to attend.
  2. Priority will be given to people who submitted position papers that were not accepted, because of their demonstrated interest in the workshop.
  3. If the number of registration requests exceeds the registration limit, participants will be selected randomly from groups (1) and (2), with priority to students in category (1).
