Infrastructure for Research towards
Ubiquitous Information Systems Project

Project Goals

The Harvard Ubiquitous Information (UI) Project focuses on research to support the development of easy-to-use large-scale information systems. The project has supported activities in many areas related to our goal of ubiquitous information systems. Research has spanned from the development of new networking technologies and computer architectures through design of high-performance file systems and extensible operating systems, to the development of more flexible systems for human-computer communication. The project also supported a range of educational activities, including new courses and software that enables new ways of teaching material related to the project research.
