Harvard University
High-Performance Internet Connection Project

with support from the National Science Foundation

Harvard University will construct a high-performance Internet connection to support a number of network-intensive research projects. This connection will be of use to projects in fields including Atmospheric Chemistry, Astrophysics, High Energy Physics, Digital Libraries, Medicine, and Social Sciences, and to data network research at Harvard. The effort will also help create a Boston Area gigaPoP to provide next-generation Internet service to research and educational institutions in the Boston area and ultimately in New England.
