Research Interests
Active Sensing
My work with Prof. Roger Brockett deals with the application of control theory to the design of measurement systems. I am particularly interested in applications to RADAR and control of sensor networks. Here is my CCDC '09 paper on RADAR waveform selection. Here is my CDC '10 presentation on infinite-horizon attention control for sensor networks.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging
I am currently working on applying Active Sensing ideas to speed up acquisition of MR images at the Cardiac MR center at Beth Isreal Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA.Computer Vision
My work at AT&T Labs Research dealt with characterizing scene-based limits of stereo vision performance. I also worked on image-based reconstruction of 3D scenes for free viewpoint video.
