I graduated in June 2004, but the Harvard EECS folk are kind
enough to let me keep a web page here.
I currently work for the Network Research group at BBN Technologies in Cambridge,
MA. We are working on a new set of protocols to bring the
internet into the 21st century. One of these days, when you
send email or an IM to your friends on Mars, you'll be sending
it using protocols I'm working on now.
I formerly worked for the Advanced
Technology Group (ATG) at NetApp in Waltham, MA. I did
work work on distributed, global-scale federated file systems
and new storage architectures that leverage the properties of
flash memory to create systems with unparalled
price/performance (and performance/watt).
Previously I worked for Sun
Microsystems Laboratories on topics related to distributed
systems and large, fault tolerant data storage systems
including Neuromancer
and Project
DarkStar.
Prior to graduation I was a graduate student member of the SyRaH --
(Systems Research at Harvard) team. My thesis advisor was
Margo Seltzer and the other members of my thesis committee
were Matt Welsh, Jim Waldo, and Michael Rabin.
