Alexandra Fedorova

I am finishing my Ph.D. at Harvard University. I work on the thesis entitled Operating System Scheduling for Chip Multithreaded Processors under the supervision of Margo Seltzer, Mike Smith, and Chris Small.

While I worked on my thesis I was also a member of Scalable Synchronization group at Sun Labs in Burlington, MA.

Starting from December 1st 2006, I will be an assistant professor at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver in Canada. Check out my web page there.

I started my education at the International University of Moscow, where I studied primarily Economics.

In 1996-1997 I participated in a college exchange program at Pomona College in the United States.

I continued my undergraduate education at Smith College, in Northampton, MA, and graduated with Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Economics in 1999.

After graduation, I have spent one year working as a software engineer at EMC, where I developed software for management of storage systems.
