Alexandra
Fedorova
I am finishing my Ph.D. at Harvard
University. I work on the thesis entitled Operating System Scheduling for Chip Multithreaded Processors under the supervision of
Margo Seltzer, Mike Smith, and Chris Small.
While I worked on my thesis I was also a member of Scalable Synchronization group at Sun Labs in Burlington, MA.
Starting from December 1st 2006, I will be an assistant
professor at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver in Canada. Check out my web page there.
I
started my education at the International
University of Moscow, where I studied primarily Economics.
In
1996-1997 I participated in a college exchange program at
Pomona College in the
United States.
I
continued my undergraduate education at Smith
College, in Northampton, MA, and graduated with Bachelor's
degree in Computer Science and Economics in 1999.
After
graduation, I have spent one year working as a software
engineer at EMC, where
I developed software for management of storage systems.
