This is a basic grid-world ant foraging simulation. Ants start at the nest and explore the world looking for food, returning immediately if they find any (while carrying a bit back to deposit at the nest). Ants leave light pheromone trails while they are searching, as well as heavier pheromone trails when returning to the nest with food. Ants make decisions of where to search probabilistically based on the pheromone concentrations in each of the squares ahead of them.
