c. jason woodard
ph.d., information, technology & management
harvard university
I was a student in a new cross-disciplinary
collaboration between Harvard Business School and the Division of
Engineering and Applied Sciences of Harvard's Faculty of Arts and
Sciences. I study the way firms create and capture value through
the strategic design of complex products and systems. My research
uses computational methods like agent-based modeling to explore phenomena
in the real world; I am particularly interested in architectural control
and its role in shaping the software industry. Before returning to school,
I was a technical evangelist for IBM's
efforts related to Java, XML, and Linux.
I am now an assistant professor in the School of Information Systems at Singapore Management University. My new home page is there.
