LEMUR IIb, seen to the right. The work of Brett Kennedy, JPL in California. LEMUR is a six-legged robot meant for space exploration and help on board space stations. It can stand on it's four rear legs and perform various tasks with its front legs.

My job alongside colleague Christian Ahler was to develop a standard electronics interface to be positioned in all of the six legs. The interface interpreted commands from the main processor and handled up to six different tools attached to the leg in mention. The tools among others included drills and screwdrivers with torque control.
