A Few Personal Details

I have been married since June 15, 1968 to Marlyn McGrath, who is Director of Admissions for Harvard College. We have two daughters, Elizabeth (at Global Environment Fund in Chevy Chase, MD) and Annie (at Google in Kendall Square). Elizabeth is married to David Fahrenthold (a reporter for the Washington Post). Marlyn and I live in Brookline, Massachusetts, in the house Marlyn grew up in. We also have a place on Swan Lake in northwest Montana, one of the most beautiful spots in the world.

I used to call myself an optimist because I thought the Red Sox would win the World Series in my lifetime, and now they've done it twice! Life is good.
