Volcán Tungurahua
As part of our upcoming
sensor
network deployment on Tungurahua,
I needed to hike up to the refugio to scope out the deployment site.
This involves a three and a half hour climb, straight uphill, and an
ascent of over 1000 meters.
Omar and Danny from the Instituto
Geofísico were kind enough to let Amy and I tag along with
them as they needed to visit the seismic station there anyway.
Here is a view of the hills and mountains around Baños looking down from the point where we started the hike.
