Bahar Dar
A street scene in Bahar Dar. This is a great town for walking or biking around. Everywhere we went, people called out "Hello!" to which I'd respond, "selam!" A further test of my knowledge of Amharic would usually follow, such as "dehnaneh?" ("how are you?"). People were pretty surprised when I'd respond correctly - "dehna!"
