Lake Tana
This friendly gentleman showed me the artifacts and ancient books at the monastery of Kibran Gebriel on Lake Tana. This monastery, which sits on a small island in the lake, is completely off-limits to women. The priest here spoke incredible English and was did a great job of explaining most of the religious items under his keep. Here he is showing me an old bible.
