Near Muang Ngoi
One of the countless little villages on the Nam Ou river. It looks awfully deserted here but all of the people were squatting around on the ground behind us. We stopped at this village and looked around for a bit, with all of the locals staring at us and kids running around everywhere. Since our boatman did not speak very much English it was difficult to communicate or get a sense of how the locals felt about four white people wandering into the middle of their village!
