Pak Ou Caves
Back in Luang Prabang, we hired Mr. Tongdee to take us up the Mekong River to the Pak Ou caves, which are famous for the hundreds of ancient carved Buddhas - seen here. The picture belies the sheer number of tourists here, mostly large Japanese and French tour groups.
