Vientiane
This is Phra That Louang, one of the most important and famous monuments in Laos - which (visiting around 10 a.m. on a weekday) we found to be completely deserted - not even any other tourists in sight. Bizarre. Anyway, the gold-painted stupa is absolutely stunning up close.
