Vientiane
A giant reclining Buddha at Xiang Khouan, the "Buddha Park", near Vientiane. Despite the ancient looks, these concrete statues were built in the 1950s, but seem to be something of a tourist attraction for the locals. While wandering around here we met three guys from the area who asked us all kinds of questions about the United States - including whether Britney Spears has a boyfriend, and what we put on our hamburgers.
