Bangkok
On our return to Bangkok, the city was decorated with hundreds of enormous monuments, like this one, all in celebration of the King's birthday. It was incredible to watch the vast throngs of people turning out for this national holiday - at 8 p.m. that night, everyone stopped what they were doing to light candles and sing the national anthem, as well as cheer for the king.
