Trekking in Langtang: Kyangjin

After 4 days at Kyangjin, we headed back down the valley, back the way we came. (The only other option would be to go over the Kangja La pass and cross into Helambu; we weren't equipped for it.)

This is a long mani wall on the trail to Langtang village. Although the tracks next to the wall look like tire tracks, it's highly unlikely that any sort of vehicle is present up here. Everything -- even construction materials for the lodges -- is carried up on foot from Dhunche or Syabru Bensi, a 3-4 day's walk. The trails are too steep for livestock to bear loads.
