Travels in Nepal - December 1999 to January 2000

Between December 12, 1999 and January 12, 2000, my girlfriend Amy and I travelled in Nepal. It was, of course, an amazing trip, far exceeding both of our expectations. We spent 2 weeks trekking in the Himalayan region called Langtang, and the rest of the time exploring Kathmandu, searching for rhinos in the Chitwan National Park, and wandering in many of the fascinating towns and villages of the Kathmandu Valley.

These photos were taken on a Canon EOS Rebel 2000, with a 28-80mm zoom lens as well as a 24mm wide-angle. At times I was wishing I had a stronger telephoto lens, but this kit was lightweight and not too cumbersome. I shot over 20 rolls of film, so I certainly can't show all of the pictures here -- rather, I've chosen just a few (87!) pictures which are my favorite and most representative of the trip.
