Yengisa
These were some men Amy was chatting with one rainy afternoon in a place called Yengisa where she went with David (the doctor) and Nancy (a nurse) for 3 days on "patrol" to run clinics and do tubal ligations. Yengisa is a remote place accesible only by Cessna flight (or foot).
In most places we visited, traditional dress is being edged out by secondhand Western-style clothing. However, even in everyday life, many of the men could be seen wearing feathers, shells, or other accompaniments to laplaps (loin cloth) and tanget leaves.
