While working in Kompiam, Amy went on one foot patrol to a nearby village called Marambe. It was supposed to take a few hours to get there, but the promontory we had to ascend and descend kept Kate (another medical student) and Amy occupied for an entire day.

Here is shown one of many cultural exchanges in PNG. Amy got the better deal because Tanim carried her pack (and water) while she got to carry the busnaip.
