Sepilok Orang-Utan Rehabilitation Center
Our second day in Borneo we visited the Sepilok Orang-utan Rehabilitation Center, the largest of its kind in the world. Here a large number of young orang-utans are cared for in a special jungle environment meant to prepare them for reintroduction into the wild. The orangs are fed twice a day on large platforms out in the jungle.
This little guy hung out on the railing not 2 feet from us as we made our way to the feeding area. One unwary photographer almost had her camera snatched away as she held it out to take a picture!
