Tanah Lot, Bali
Completely bored of Sanur, we hired a driver to take us out to Tanah Lot, a beautiful seaside temple about an hours' drive away. There I paid 1000 rupiah (about 12 cents) to stroke the "holy snakes" found in a small cave next to the temple. This man is pointing his flashlight in the hole where the snake is curled up. As with most traditions on Bali we had little clue as to the significance of this.
