Kuala Lumpur
We spent the afternoon of the last day of our trip in Kuala Lumpur, wandering through the old markets, trying spicy-hot Thai tom yam soup, and buying bags of fruit for the plane ride home. This is a fruit stall in Kuala Lumpur's Chinatown, selling our favorite fruits -- rambutans and mangosteens. If you have never tried these, make a point to do so -- although they may be hard to find outside of the tropical parts of Asia. We bought a large number of rambutans for the plane ride back home -- too bad we had to ditch them on arrival in the US (due to customs regulations).
