The main theme of my doctoral research was the enabling of superior engineering solutions through consideration of human perception. This involved investigating perceptually motivated approaches to audio signal enhancement, via Bayesian modelling of time-frequency coefficients. My earlier work dealt with perceptually motivated signal processing for the realisation of real-time musical performance on electronic instruments.
