Raaga Tharanga is a cultural association of the music-lovers of the city of Mysore. The association has been giving several music and dance features under the able guidance of Smt. S. K. Vasumathi, renowned classical musician of All India Radio, Mysore. The association was born in the year 1985 and aptly christened 'Raaga Tharanga', by late Prof. Shivaram Ithal.

The objectives of the association are to organize music and dance programs periodically, to promote creative and highly imaginative skills among the upcoming artists and to create awareness about Indian music and cultural heritage.

The musical group has given several innovative performances not only in the city but also at other places in the state during several occasions, to mention a few:

The students of Raaga Tharanga have brought out 2 music albums, both under the music direction of Smt. S. K. Vasumathi:

• 'Nava Bhaava', comprising of Bhavageethes written by various well known poets.
• 'Bhava Sinchana', comprising of Bhavageethes written by various well known poets.
