shj AT microsoft DOT com

As of April 2013, I am an Applied Researcher at Microsoft working on display advertising. Previously, I was a postdoc at Yale University hosted by Joan Feigenbaum. I completed my Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2010 at Harvard University, where I was advised by David Parkes.

My work was generously supported by an NSF-CRA Computing Innovations Fellowship, an AT&T Labs Fellowship, an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, and a Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship.

Before Harvard, I was an undergraduate at the University of Michigan, where I studied Mathematics and Computer Science. In my free time, I enjoy rock-climbing, yoga, and being a foodie.

Here is my CV.
