STRAWBERRY
DAIQUIRI
In a blender, put 1 cup of washed fresh strawberries (husks removed) and the juice of 1 fresh lime. Run blender at a medium speed in short bursts until strawberries have been somewhat processed. Add ¼ cup white sugar, one-third cup white rum and 2 cups crushed ice and process in bursts at a medium speed until smooth; but don’t over process. Serve in chilled champagne (bowl, not flute) or daiquiri glasses.
If you want to have some of the daiquiris without alcohol, process as above without the rum, remove some of the processed fruit mix, but be sure to add the ingredients (except the rum) and process in the order as above. Then add the rum in an adjusted quantity and process again for a short time.
