| PhD Candidate: | Computer Science (August 04 - Present) |
| Advisor: | Professor Margo Seltzer |
| Research: | Provenance Aware Storage Systems (PASS) |
| Research Topic: | Data Provenance -- the complete history of a data item. Our approach
requires no active involvement on the part of the application. My focus is on security, analysis and
querying of the collected provenance. |
| Passed Qualifying Exam in January 07, titled: An Access Control Model for Provenance |

EXPERIENCE
IBM Research Summer Intern
Almaden Research Center (June - August 06)
- Investigated issues in distributed privacy enforcement by extending Hippocratic Databases (HDB) with
Sticky Policies. HDB rewrites queries so they adhere to privacy policies. Sticky policies encapsulate data
and policy enabling privacy enforcement in distributed environments.
- Designed and implemented successful proof of concept
- Investigated applying sticky policies to electronic medical records
IBM Research Summer Intern
Haifa Research Lab (June - August 05)
- Investigated options for implementing Continuous Data Protection (CDP)
- Designed and implemented successful proof of concept
- Developed comparison criteria and applied them to several architectural options
EMC Senior Software Engineer
Symmetrix R&D (August 00 - August 04)
- Assisted in the development of the low latency Message Matrix - a hallmark of the
recently released DMX, DMX-2 and DMX-3 architectures
- Designed, implemented and supported several internal messaging fabrics including:
internal Ethernet and the environmental monitoring fabric
