I'm currently working as a research assistant for Professor Matt Welsh in the Harvard Divison of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Come September I'll be beginning the PhD program in computer science here at Harvard with Professor Welsh as my advisor.
My work and research to date has been concentrated in the area of wireless sensor networking. I built and continue to develop MoteLab, a tool for developing and experimenting with wireless sensor networks. MoteLab was originally deployed here at Harvard but the code is now in use, in various forms, at MIT and UC Berkeley as well, and active development continues on SourceForge.
Professor Welsh and I recently returned from Ecuador where we deployed a wireless sensor network on the side of Tungurahua, an active volcano near Banos. This was a pilot project aimed at replicating the functionality of existing, wired, data-loggers, but future efforts will use wireless sensor platforms to provide unique data monitoring and recording capabilities. A more detailed description of the project can be found here. [an error occurred while processing this directive]
